I am new here, but I have exactly the same problem. I have a Windows test environment, where everything works fine. If I installed SMF 2.0 on our RedHat Server, search does not work. I tried as well reinstalling the software, but the same behaviour.
What kind of information you need, I try to get it and provide it?
