How do I disable "reply" in the announce topic email?

When doing a general "announce topic", members are hitting the reply button in their email, which just sends it to me.

How do I either disable that
or not have the whole post show in the email so they have to go to the forum to read it?

admin -> features and options Don't allow post text in notifications? check this and it should not include the box of the post in the annoucement

That is checked off, but people are still sending me emails.
I think - they think - that by using 'reply' in their email, it is like yahoo and gets posted.

My personal mailbox is getting inundated!

you could use another email address to send the messages from one you could set an auto responder on.

admin -> server settings webmaster email address and your hosts control panel should allow you to setup an auto respond email for that address

Does the forum use that for just the 'announce topic'
Not for notifying me of anything else?

I don't find some of the 'options' easy to grasp....

that email address is used for any email the forum sends out is from that address
