Recent topics user control

Is it possible to let per user control how many recent topics they see on the index page. Instead of global number from the admin.

No but Thanks for the suggestion, but not what I was asking for, I am asking about the Recent posts/topics on the index page.

Under Theme settings there is a global setting called.

Number of recent posts to display on board index:
To disable the recent posts bar set this value to zero.

Is it possible to set this in the normal user control, so they can customize their own Index page. Some might want 0, others might want 50.

no that is not a by user option. you would need a mod to do that.

Yes, I am aware it would require some modifications, Anyone got any suggestions for that. As I think it could be a great mod for the normal users.
