Theme/Color Question

Hello,

I have been a very happy SMF user for a little more than six months.  All of the boards on my site use the same theme which I customized when I first installed SMF.  I recently created a new board, which I want to use a different theme.  I am trying to customize the new theme and have been unable to.

I would like for the "Subject / Started by" bar to be navy blue.  It is currently black.  Under the root of my theme, "Orange theme by kenet," is a folder called 'css'.  In css is a file called 'index.css' which appears to be where all of the colors for the theme are set.  I have gone through this file several times and set all of the black and even dark gray colors to navy.  It hasn't had any effect.

Should I be looking through another file?  I looked at 'index.template.php' in the root directory of the theme, but there was no color information in there whatsoever.  As I mentioned earlier, my theme is called "Orange theme by kenet," and I am using SMF 2.0.1.

Here is what this bar currently looks like.

Thank you,

Will N.

To change the black bars, you need to edit ~/Themes/{your theme}/images/theme/main_block.png You can also change menu_gfx.png in the same folder for the menu buttons.

In most 2.0 themes, the title bars are part of /images/theme/main_block.png.  You can change the colors in your graphics editor.

When in Emor, do as the Snamors.

Post a link to your site and I will set you up.  ;)
No, I will not offer free downloads to Premium DzinerStuido themes. Please stop asking.

Thank you everyone!  It is fixed!

I spoke a little too quickly.  Where the words Home, Help, Search, etc are, I would like to change the color of the selected item from black to navy.  I assume that this is equally easy to do?

Thank you.

That's in index.css. You'll have to edit the .dropmenu classes. Search for ".dropmenu a" without quotes.

There is a file called /images/theme/menu_gfx.png that is getting called in index.css.  I edited that file, and all is well.

Thanks again!!!
