Adding banner

Which file should I use to add banner on forum? I wanna to add it in header of forum. And where to insert a banner code?

In your forum root..
under :
Themes/YourThemeFolder/

find
index.template.php

There, search for theme_linktree();
Add your banner before or after it, ie. which suits you best.

Add it like ..
echo '<your aanner code here>' ;

Enclose your code in echo command as I mentioned in above example.

I did it all, but got this message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in /home/content/92/6809892/html/forum/Themes/default/index.template.php on line 335

You need to make sure you string properly.  You see,  non-php code should be enclosed in  ' ' .
