SMF 2.0.1 vs 2RC4 CPU Utilization

Just wanted to chime in that I recently did an upgrade from 2RC4 to 2.0.1 and the impact on CPU is HUGE, in a GOOD way

I'm running a 13,000+ member forum that gets 60,000 unique visitors monthly and over 1,000,000 page views, with 340,000 posts.  Served up at Linode on a 768MB plan with 4 CPU available.  I was averaging around 100% of 1 CPU utilization.  Since the upgrade I'm down to about 20%.

Not sure what changes were made, but man, it's way more efficient.  Sadly my memory usage is just as high as it was (600 or so MB at any given time) so I can't downgrade my VPS plan, but it's great nonetheless.

Nope - same mods installed before / after.

That's it.  Maybe some of the updated packages are more efficient - not sure, but my CPU load is now consistently as shown on the chart.  I'm happy whatever it is
