Articles over posts

Hi,
I'm looking for a mod or some things similar that allow me(admin) and who have permissions(membergroup) to use posts like an article.
ex.: An allowed member create a topic and chose, before to post, if that post will be a topic or an article.
I saw that tiny portal have this feature, but i don't want to install a portal and use only the 1% of it.

Thank you for your fast reply, but  i don't need an articles mod because it will split the site, i need to have articles and posts in the same place. Thanks

I'm not asking for a new mod! I'm just asking, in simple words, a way to differentiate simple post and articles. It can just be an additional field in the db and a check box in the post layout. Does it exist? if no, i won't ask to create this mod.

articles is not a default feature so there would be no way to differentiate between something that exists by default and something that does not.

Infact, i'm searching for a mod but, if it doesn't exist, i wont' ask for it. I know that simple portal can do something similar, there is another mod that can do the same, else, for me, this topic is closed. Thanks
