Register but select a group?

Hello,

I have just started some forums for my home town & a few near me to buy, swap & sell items (for free) and I would like it so on register they have to choose which town they live in?

So in the backend I would make groups for i.e Eastbourne, Hastings, Brighton & have them as different colours so everyone in the forums knows which town they are from & have them pick which town they are actually in when they register.
