Problems with mods

I'm having a few problems with Mods not installing correctly and when I remove them, it appears they are leaving code behind.

If I install a fresh Forum and import my saved database, will it import the same issues I'm currently seeing?

sounds like file/folder permission issues which should be able to fixed somewhat easily if you check which files are having issues.

Things are working, but I think it'll soon get messed up. For example, I've just installed the Aeva media gallery mod and it wiped out my "SMF Link Mod" menu link. I uninstalled Aeva which showed as successful, but there appears to be code left in the subs.php for it and my SMF Links menu link is still missing.

have you checked your file permissions? what you are explaining should not happen or be possible unless there is code conflicts
