Themes Just Not Working

Ok I have tried almost everything but stuff isn't working. I have been trying to install new themes for a while but nothing works. Am i suppose to upload .zip files that i find in the themes section or what? WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO UPLOAD? I have almost given up someone please help me

#1) download right version that is compatible with the version of smf that you are using

#2) what type of errors is it saying?

#3), it could be a permission problem also ... without more information, we could guess all night long ..... ftp into your public folder and change it to 755 or 777 ( folders and files ), if it is a permission problem, 9 times out of 10 that will solve the problem.

when you find a theme you like you will download a .zip file please make sure it will work on your forum version

Go to:

Admin -> Themes and Layout

you will see a section that says "Install a New Theme"

Click on the Browse button on the line that says "From a file: " look fo rthe downloaded theme and select that.

Then click on install.

You will then get a screen saying the theme is installed.

Is the fact that i have a mac change the .zip? thats what I'm seeing. How do i see what errors it gives me?

I am trying this Glacier 2 (black) and it is compatible with 2.0 but i have 2.0.1 should it still work?

2.0 will work for 2.0.1 ....... either an error page will show up or it will show up in your error logs in admin. Im not lucky enough to have a mac but, i doubt it is your problem.

you need to make sure your browser is not automatically extracting the zip when you download it.
