Unique hits counter

I am surprised to see that there is no hit counter for the board.  We had over 500,000 unique hits before upgrading to the version 2 and now there is no unique hits counter.   This kind of makes me sad.

Also something is screwed up here.  The verification won't give me a new image and the letters are VERY tiny and hard to read.

Hit counters generally are not classy, that's why they are no longer visible. Mostly was a 1990's trend.

Nobody takes any notice of them, anyway.

Search Google for "Hit counter" and you'll find loads.

Mostly dodgy, though you'll find some genuine code, if you look hard enough.

There are plenty of counters but not specifically for SMF and not unique hits like the mod that was so cool for 1.XSMF but is apparently incompatible with 2.x

I would suggest something such as google analytics. It is better for performance of your board then keeping track of unique hits with SQL.

I am not sure how one would integrate that with SMF.  The unique hits mod integrated perfectly with SMF.   I had over 500,000 unique hits (we don't have a lot of members but have a lot of readers) and it made me feel important and I like that.  Can one pay some small amount to have a mod done?

It is just tracking code that you insert into your forum there is some google analytics mods and you then check google analytics for stats.
