I have looked into a mod with phpBB of their Classified Ads.

Here is an example of a forum with a modification of Classified Ads.

I have couple of questions on this mod.

#1) How can I tell what City and State where they are from?

#2) Can I able approve or disappove an ad if its inaproperate?

1.  Locations are not built in. But you have a couple options you can either use custom fields to display location information for the listing. Or if you want to see what a person is from you can use either custom fields built in SMF for their profile.

2.  Yes ads can be approved/disapproved either globally or on a category level

Also they can have a choice of doing a regular classified Ads or Auction their items.

Yes on a category level you can choose if that category supports auctions or listings or both.

Can they pay the other members products through Paypal?

And also I would like make money for doing this. Is there a way I can charge a fee for member before posting an ad or auction an item?

Members can setup a paypal address to receive payments at.

Yes a couple ways to make money.
- Has a credit based system where users can buy credit packages integrated with paypal fully automatic. The credits can be used to buy listing credits/upgrades.  This is the best way to go to make the most money and reduce paypal fees.
- Or they can individual credits on a category level to buy a listing though paypal automatic as well.
- Charging for list upgrades - either one time or use of credits

What I am saying is before they post an item can I charge a member a fee like $10.00 and that money goes to me that I can make money off my members?

Yes you can do that would be the listing fee to post.

Yes they pay though paypal and get the listing credit automatically after successful payment.

One more question. Once they enter the site is it going to be classifed ads or the forum? What I like to do is both classified ads and have a separate forum for questions and support. Is that possible?

The system is an addon for SMF. What it does when installed is adds a tab to the menu of the forum called Classifieds which allows users to access the classifieds area.

What if the members want to charge shipping do they have that option?

Or have a separate smf in a different directory and separate Database can you do that and have tab that goes that forum?
