The ones I have checked are:

Can have auction listings
Only auction Listings
Allow comments
Listings require approval

on both cars and trucks.

Remove "Only auction Listings" uncheck that one that will prevent normal listings from being created and only have auction.

Ok,, I have another problem. Subcategories "Cars" shows (1) listing but the main category "Automotive" show (0) posts or listings why is that? And its now showing in the tiny portal on the main page.

Under Admin -> Classifieds Configuration -> Settings -> "Counts child categories listing totals." check that and save.

It's checked but its still not showing any listing(s) on the main category.

I have made sure that the "Counts child categories listing totals." has been checked. I still get this:

Automotive (0) listings
-Cars (1) listings

I think I narrowed it down make sure "Hide subcategories on index page" is not checked under settings.

Tested on my test 2.0 site and just checking "Counts child categories listing totals." setting does count the totals for any subcategories.

Didn't change anything just checked the setting.

I have just checked the settings as follows:

admin>forum>settings:

Count child's posts in parent's totals "checked"

admin> classifieds>settings:

Counts child categories listing totals "checked"

That is all

I am not sure what else it could be since that is the only setting that controls counting multiple levels of categories for listings.

To look at it further I would need an admin account on the forum and an ftp account in case editing is required.
