I am a user on a messageboard running simple machines software.

I needed to change my contact email through my profile - I incorrectly typed one character but didnt realize it until I submitted it  I then got a messsage telling me that a confirmation email was sent to the new email but since the email address is incorrect, I cant access the link.

I spent an hour on this messageboard's FAQ's to find a contact email for this particular site so I could notify them that I made a mistake and could it be corrected - but there is nothing available to me.

At this point, it appears I need to set up a new login with this messageboard because I cant get this problem fixed.

Does simple machine offer the ability for a site to have a contact email for its users and this site just doesnt utilize it or is this something that the simple machine software doesnt allow for?

It is up to each site admin on how they wish to be contacted and whether they make that information available.....   We have no control over sites which may choose to use our software.

I suggest that, if there is no contact information available on the site you attempted to register on, that you try using the http://who.is service to find the admin's email address and contact them that way.

you mean on this forum here? in various places on the site there are email addresses for the team as well as the admin.

I think he is trying to get contact information for the admin of a website he signed up to.
"This site" probably refers to the site he is trying to sign up with
Rather vaguely formulated, but I think that's what he meant Easy to confuse indeed though.
