When using SMTP, goes to blank page

Hello Again,
  I keep having problems with my SMTP mailer.  I have all my permissions setup properly (I think) and when I go to send a PM or e-mail to someone via SMF, it "hangs" for lack of a better term.  It is really slow going to a blank HTML page.  Then nothing happens.  So, I talked with my ISP to see what was going on and it said there was one .eml message but there was nothing in it.

I just tried it again and got:

  Anyone have any idea what to do or how to fix  this?
