PM's not going through?

Apparently some of my members are getting this error when trying to send a new message or reply to one:

"One or more 'to'-recipients could not be found."

This seems to only be affecting certain individuals and not everyone as a whole.

Checked my database structure and fixed one error I found there, however users are still having the same problem. I looked at the user's personal settings on the forum and they should be able to send PM's just fine.

...Help?

TheListener

Have you any errors in the error log?

Ruddy Kitty

"All errors (2817825)"

...o.o ....x.x

Where do I even begin?

TheListener

Ruddy Kitty

...for all of them?

I've never even dealt with the error log (oops my bad). I'm not sure where to begin? Meaning to narrow down the errors with PM's.

With that many errors, I'd almost consider emptying the entire thing. Then send a PM and see what might show up. That's really a lot of errors that must be making your database rather large. If you do dump the logs, you will likely see it fill up again and you can try to figure out why they are happening. :)

Alright, emptied it and it's already at 355.

Edited the url and username with WEBSITE just in case.

Every single error, be it with PM's or not, have this:

"File: /home/WEBSITE/public_html/forum2/Themes/astronomy_21/GenericMenu.template.php (body_above sub template - eval?)
Line: 164"

Illori

Admin -> Server Settings -> Disable evaluation of templates
Then post any new error messages without eval in them

*edit*
One user who was experiencing the error sending certain users PM's changed their theme and is no longer having the problem...?

Also apparently there is an error logged for literally EVERYTHING that anyone does on the forum... including myself after emptying the error log ...x.x

List the mods you have installed and also if you switch to the core theme and clear the error log, does it still fill up?  Post some of the most common errors and we will work on trying to clear those up first.

I do not have any mods installed.

Yes, it is still filling up with errors. They all still end the same way...

Some users are saying they cannot send any pm's at all now...

JimM

Is the theme you are using a paid theme or one that you got from here?  The file that is showing the error is Themes/astronomy_21/index.template.php.  That's not from the default/core theme.
Jim "JimM" Moore

Ruddy Kitty

That's a theme I downloaded from here for free.

So what exactly do I need to do? Do I have to fix that line or take it out or replace the file...?

Illori

try posting in the themes support thread so the author can look into the issue

Ruddy Kitty

Alright, I've posted about the problem in the theme's thread. Hopefully it will be seen.

However, what is puzzling me is that the error line "Themes/astronomy_21/index.template.php" occurs whether the theme is being used or not.

Illori

are you sure you reset everyone to the other theme being used or just yourself or just new users?

Ruddy Kitty

No, I reset everyone back to the core theme. After I saw the same error was occurring, I did switch it back to the free theme.

Illori

the only way what you are describing can happen is if you did not reset everyone and change the overall default to the new theme.

Ruddy Kitty

Okay, I've done that. Everyone is now at the default and the default is also set to the core theme.

It's still happening... Same line and everything.

EDIT

Added a picture of the error line.

I'm wondering if it is because the name of the forum is actually misspelled in that line?
