Bridging a theme from 1.11 to 2.0?

Hi all. I just upgraded my forum from 1.11.somethingorother to the very latest 2.0.2. The upgrade went great.

Before upgrading I did some searching and saw people had trouble with custom themes after upgrading so I switched the default theme for my forum back to the SMF default Curve theme. I'm looking around my site now and seeing that my old theme (a slightly tweaked green_leaf theme) REALLY won't work for 2.0.

Is there any way I can bridge that green leaf theme to work on 2.0? Is there somewhere that I can look that would point me in the right direction? Looking through all the 2.0 themes there is NOTHING that looks remotely close to something I can work with to make my site resemble the old one. (And I was REALLY in love my old theme.)

Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you.

This is possible, but you would have to know a reasonable amount about making themes. 2.0 includes the old Core theme, but in a 2.0 version, obviously. Nevertheless, it is still largely the same visually as the 1.1.x version.

Green Leaf was based on 1.1.x core theme, and the changes that were made are not really all that complex. Primarily it's a matter of images and css tweaks.

What you would have to do would be to analyse the changes made to get your custom theme from default 1.1.x, and apply similar changes to the 2.0 core theme.

If you are bamboozled by css files, you're not going to get far. If you're thoroughly comfortable with them, it shouldn't be too hard.
