Greetings:

I'm very worry about this and don't know how to fix it. I think this is critical. SMF 2.0.1, Curve theme.
When I try to access the Administrator tab to go to the package area, I get this error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.21 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/1.0.0-fips DAV/2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 Server at 65th.jrcommander.com Port 80

I'm able to go around the other areas of the admin. Thanks in advance.

PS: This is the report from my server log file:

Can you also check your forum's error-logs?

That server log's just bemoaning the non-existence of a page for the 500 error.

given the errors, it looks like they cant even get into admin panel K@

kat

In which case, the file "error_log" (Which'll be in the forum's root) might help. ;)

If it's there.

So... Who knows?

I guess we'll find out, when JC returns. ;)

Alright, the same situation is happening with my other forums, pretty weird.
These are the mods Im running, so I think 'cause I can't access packages in admin panel
Adk_menu buttons
custom action 3.2
member_awards_v2.2.3.
Nchat

As for my forum log error, I think this is the closest to the one creating the issue:
(sorry is in spanish)
Aplicar filtro: Mostrar sólo los mensajes de error de esta URL
http://65th.jrcommander.com/index.php?action=admin;area=credits
Aplicar filtro: Mostrar sólo los mensajes de error con este mensaje
2: implode() [<a href='function.implode'>function.implode</a>]: Invalid arguments passed
Aplicar filtro: Mostrar sólo los errores de este archivo
Archivo: /home/jcommand/public_html/65th/Themes/default/languages/Admin.spanish_es-utf8.php (credits sub template - eval?)
Línea: 289

Also attached is the error_log from my forum root.

kat

Can you go to Admin>Server Settings and disable "Disable evaluation of templates", please?

That "eval?" thing is probably masking the real error. :(

jcommander

Ok, I'll give it a try. Thanks for all your help guys!

jcommander

Alright I placed a check mark there, now what do I do?

kat

Clear out the error log and see what the new ones are. :)

jcommander

Ok, error log cleared out. Next I try again to go to packages under Admin panel, twice (same error), then I checked the error log generated by the forum, but there is nothing there. Needles to say if I can't fix this I will not be able to update the forum or use any other mod (or thats what I think) ;)
Thanks for the reply :)

So whats next?

kat

Internal server errors are a nightmare to debug.

Just had a thought, though...

Check with your host, to make sure you have full ownership of the files on your site (CHOWN, rather than CHMOD) and that mod_security is disabled.

jcommander

Ok, I sent them an e-mail asking what you just asked me, now is a matter of time to wait for their answer. I also have:

jdp.jrcommander.com
jrcommander.com
65th.jrcommander.com

each one has it's own forum and I am experiencing the same problem, I don't know if that's useful.

Thanks again for your help.

kat

Could well be the same problem with all of 'em, then.

Fingers crossed.

jcommander

Well well well, this I can't explain but Im back to business again. I did nothing special, I went to one of my subdomains and voila! I was able to acces packages through admin panel, so I did the same on the others and were working fine as well. However Im afraid this can happen again. Should I close this topic?

kat

Maybe your host did the biz, ay?

I've marked it as being solved, for now.

If you get any more grief, just reopen it. :)

jcommander

Thank you very much K@ and the rest of the gang too. :)
