Username Effects?

can someone help me change the effects on the usernames. Add a gradient and sparkle effect.
Here is an example: art1.lazbit.com

He seems to wrap a background image around his username

In the .css file as a background-image in the ".poster h4, .poster h4 a" section I think...

That would only effect the usernames on the display and personal messages. It wouldn't apply elsewhere.

Also if you notice the "sparkle effect" image is only behind the admin membergroup and not the others if that helps any.

how can i make it overlay the username but for admins only

You should be able to add HTML to group names...

I just tried, and it did work. Only in topic/thread view tho - not on "whose online" etc

Right.....try adding <span style="font-size: xx-large;"></span> around a membergroup title, and see if it works. I forget off the top of my head if HTML is allowed or not.

I did once code a mod that would allow you to place HTML around membergroups since you can't do it as of current even in 2.0 by entering it in the box that's intended for the name.

But it's for 1.1 and I rejected it from the cus site because I don't know enough.

Lab - you'll be able to see it if you look in my mod site profile, since you're a team member, if you want to update it and make it good. It was Membergroup XHTML.

@Gary - I see it, it looks pretty nice. I'll have to see how my time goes. I'd like to at least finish my Mobile Notifications System first.

I tried this and it didnt work in the css file using a portamx theme and a 2.0.2 smf
