Quote from: wayoutwest on May 11, 2013, 08:11:05 PMsorry, my mistake. Was confusing the built in custom fields thing with yours, since I never noticed there were built in ones in 2.0 and one of the very first things I did after switching to 2.0 was to install your mod :)

No problem, it's all good. But, yeah, as you can see from this link (the additions to v1.1.0) was just adding a few extra options to the already installed default Custom Profile Fields feature.  Wish I could help on your current issue though, I'm sure someone will know in SMF2 support board.  Good Luck.

Thanks. I found the answer http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=477397  The samples of filters shown in help use " as deliminators on the regex, which is bad form, imho, because quotes, when used to show what to enter into a field, are normally meant to be discarded.  And, if you do try using them it doesn't save the regex expression.  Fix is to use another character for deliminators in the regex, such as #.

Hello,

I am new to SMF and I am learning as I go..

I recently installed a custom theme using colorizeit and as soon as I installed it on my forum, my social media icons went from displaying their logos in the post to just saying the names of the network. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a link to the theme?

The images may nee to move placed into your themes images folder.

Kindred

Fossil has it exactly right....

if you install themes after you already have mods installed, then you need to go back and make usre any changes made by the mod are manually added to the new theme - this includes images added to the images directories.

Old fossil and Kindred,

So, just go into my default theme, and copy and past over into my new theme, right?

CheeseHead05

And also, how do u link the social networks to their respective member pages?  I linked my Facebook thru my forum and when I clicked the icon, it took me to the home page where you would normally log in.

hcfwesker

Yes, or you could unzip the MOd you downloaded to your PC, and just upload the images from there to your custom theme's images folder

Just add your Facebook username, not your entire FB profile link.

Ex. https://www.facebook.com/username  <--- just add your username  that would appear where the bold is

G'day,

I have installed this mod and made the necessary edits to the CORE theme etc, It seems to be working fine except one thing...

When i go into the ADMIN panel and click on anything under CONFIGURATION i get this coming up (see attached image) How do i fix this?

Kindred

because whatever edits were made to your language file were done poorly.

you added actual code on the line after the tapatalk comment instead of starting a newline

Like Kindred said, you added the code in languages/Help.english.php wrong.

// TapaTalk ends

^^ press enter after that so the help text for SMI mod starts on it's own fresh line.

Sorry should explained a little better, this issue came up after i did the install, so without my mods to it.... The mods i did were just the ones in the Display template and Private message template
