access admin control panel

Do I have to change my url everytime I want to access the admin control panel to ?action=admin

When I log into the forum with my administrator log in, there is a link that says "admin".  That link takes me to a profile page showing me as administrator but there is no way to access the control panel.  How do I access the control panel??

what version of smf are you using? what theme are you using? if not the default theme can you try the default theme?

If you are an admin, you can get Admin button which will takes you directly to Admin control panel.
