can't upload packages to forum

I have tried to install packages from the forum and I get this error

"Sorry, your PHP configuration doesn't have support for zlib. Without this, the package manager cannot function. Please contact your host about this for more information"

im sill kind of new the FTP and file edits.

One for your host, methinks, srgkill.

It could be that they have mod_security enabled, which you don't want.

Or, it might be a restriction that they placed to try and seduce you into upgrading to a higher hosting package.
