Private Messages Disabled Warning

When a forum member has his PM permissions denied, either by his Membergroup or by the Member specific mod, it does not inform anyone sending him a PM that this function is disabled.  It looks to be sent as normal and even saves a copy in the Sent folder.

Is there a way that I can set up a warning to a sender that this function is disabled for this particular member?  It is just out of courtesy, really, so that they aren't waiting on a reply.  The permission is being denied because the members do not wish to be contacted through PMs.

Which is odd, really, because I would have thought that if you did not wish to use your PM function that you could just turn it off in your profile.  In 1.05 at least that is not available.

I run an RPG forum so I get all sorts of weird requests that I suppose devvers might not really consider all important.
