The Longtheme series can be used wrapped with the sample_long* templates for Mambo.

Nice, I like the new post icons, can you make it for PortalBlue

xenovanis

Thanks for the nice comments  :)

I've updated the first post with four more colors. Maybe you can use those icons, Avarot.

Nice work Xenovanis, are those mambo templates available in dynamic width, and how did you make the thumbnail images clickable.

Hi xenovanis ,
Kudos  for all the templates.  I just installed the Long Orange.  When I display the forum, my forum does not expand all to way to the right column.  I checked in mambo cpanel that there are not anything to show with forum in right.

Also,
hxxp:www.ebeveyn.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=34&topic=1.0 [nonactive]
here I have a missing image I think.

One more thing.
I did a view source here:

Is it normal to have an HTML headere again in the middle of the page?
Thanks in advance for your help.

No, it's a template thing. It doesn't hide the right column if there are no modules published. Try this solution:

That is because this theme is not for 1.0.5. For now, it works in 1.1 Beta 3 Public, I need to update them for 1.1 RC1.

Well, that would be the header of the SMF theme. It is in the middle of the page because your forum is wrapped and therefore is "in the middle" of the page. I think Kindred made a post somewhere in this board about what you can safely remove.

Hey,
About the missing images, I did the following change in the
Display.template.php file:

find:
<td align="left" valign="middle"><a href="', $message['href'], '"><img src="', $message['icon_url'] . '" alt="" border="0" /></a></td>

replace with:

<td align="left" valign="middle"><a href="', $message['href'], '"><img src="', $settings['images_url'].'/post/'.$message['icon'] . '.gif'. '" alt="" border="0" /></a></td>

I realized than, it's pretty much the same thin that other 1.0.5 templates have in the same place. SMF is so much fun to work with :)

Also, the link you have provided me with, has helped me hide the right column, thank for that.

PopLife

Hi Xenovanis, I really love these themes! How much work would be involved into converting them into stand-alone SMF themes?

xenovanis

Thanks. Well, now it looks like this standalone:

http://testzone.xenovanis.nl/forum/index.php?theme=20

  • css needs to be adjusted
  • images need to be adjusted (and I don't have the original images for the catbg)
  • Layout needs some tweaking, like adding a loginbox etc

Right now I have enough trouble finding time to upgrade my current themes, but if you want to, feel free  ;)

Does anyone has problems displaying this in Opera? In Opera 8.50 everything appears centered. In Firefox everything is shown just fine. Any ideas what I need to do?

hxxp:img456.imageshack.us/my.php?image=centered1ih.jpg [nonactive]

I know this is caused by the Mambo template, but I didn't know where else I could have asked.  :)

BTW: This is SMF 1.1 RC1.

TheAnt

Hi

I think this is a simple, clean, very nice theme. With a little css changing I'm going to use the LongGreen one for my next site hxxp:www.alleradici.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,35/ [nonactive]. Just a question, ho can I add the login form? without it is useless for me.

Thanks a lot
A.

Kindred

what do you mean, add the login form?

if you mean the login module...   then just publish it in mambo...

O no, in the longgreen theme there is not the form to login

Kindred

again.... I'm not sure what you are talking about?

You mean there is not a MENU ITEM in the SMF menu that links to the login form?

Remember, this theme is intended to be used while wrapped in mambo...   which means the mod_smf_login should always be available and no additional forms are needed.
