Is there a way to set Board Specific permissions?

Seems like the permissions are global. 

I added a new board that I wanted to have restricted access (read only) but it changed all boards to read only and no one could post.

Admin -> Permissions -> Board Permissions

then by clicking the board name you can be able set the permission for that specific board and for making it read only

Admin -> Boards -> Board name -> Modify -> Permission Profile -> Read only

Thanks.  Done.

I guess when I added the board and clicked on "permissions" I figured that would be specific to that forum, but it takes me to the "General" permissions area.

Was getting e-mails asking why I locked out the forums.   :-[
