Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew how I could fix this issue?
I went from my mybb database, to a new host, so I Imported to MyBB that I just installed, and an trying to convert to SMF...
I'm getting this error, any ideas?

iMadness

I am importing a 1.6 database.. if that matters.

iMadness

Edit, I'm now using the 1.6 converter, same thing.

Hello, welcome to SMF!

Seems like you just setup a new database with a new user.
Did you grant the user you made permission to use all the SQL commands?

iMadness

Yep, When I imported the DB to MyBB, I selected the "All permissions".
But just in case, how would I check? I could have had missed the check box xD

NanoSector

You should be able to check through your Control Panel (cPanel or Webmin or something like that).

Search for "Databases", remove the account associated with your database from the database (do not remove the account itself), and re-add it making sure everything's checked.

Do you mean remove the user, with the imported DB, not the default Mybb DB?

No, I mean remove the user from the DB. Don't remove either one -- deattach them from each other. Then reattach them.

Hmmm... I'm in the SQL Databases, in my cPanel, and I don't see anything about removing a user...
Only deleting one :3

Then deleting is your only option :P

Delete & recreate the user.

Just did that, selected all perms...
Same thing :(

NanoSector

That's weird.

Do you have another user for the myBB db?

Well... I might, not sure. I just added the mybb user to the DB...

If you have, add both users to both databases.

My guess would be that the SMF user can't access the MyBB user and vice versa.

Hmm...

Same thing too.

NanoSector

The SMF database user doesn't have access to the MyBB database and vice versa. Add both users to both databases.

(add user smf733 to the mybb661 database and the mybb661 user to the smf733 database)

Aha!
Glad it was a pretty simple issue.
"Converting members...Wrong value type sent to the database. Date expected. (birthdate)"
But now that... xD
Should I make a separate thread?

NanoSector

Nah, post in the MyBB 1.6 converter topic, most converters are buggy ;)

Aha thanks, I'm looking at this at the moment.
