smf over phpbb?

I have been thinking of switching message boards. I have currently a phpbb message board but am not really happy with it.

how is smf better than phpbb?

It's also worth underlingin the security issue - phpbb has had an awful security history the past couple of years, and it's not uncommon to see phpbb forum admins on webmaster forums complaining that their forums have been hacked.

What's also great about SMF is the default mod_rewrite option. To someone like myself, this is essential. I used to nag the developers when this was YaBB SE for better search engine friendliness, and thank goodness they listened.

NightLinks I'm a member on many phpBB and SMF boards. I had a few phpBB boards myself and have 3 SMF boards.
I'll go with one of the most often given comments of my users of SMF over phpBB.
"SMF is more user friendly than phpBB " I get that statement more than any other and agree.

Thats it, you guys have sold me, I've been using a Simple Machines Forum on another website, and I really like it over my PHPbb, 9Which I might add, was DEFACED... I hope this is a lot more secture, I like it a lot already
