I attempted to join the CHDKraw forum which uses SMF. In attempting to register or log in i am informed that I need to request an activation email. I fill out the form, it says that the email has been sent and I do not receive an email. Also tried a user name other than my email address. trbodden was that user name.

Unless they have a problem with thier email, the usual issue with activation mails is that many ISP's treat them as spam and they end up in your spam folder.

If you checked your spam folder and it isn't there it is likely it is the website's problem and not yours. You can try to contact the administrator of the site. Unfortunately we can't do much on here for a site that you aren't an administrator on.

I can't find anyplace on that board to contact the webmaster. Not very well done or I'm overlooking something.

1) either the email settings would not be properly configured in the server.
2) In default forum software will accept only one registration from each session. Try use private browsing windows or different computer to check for new registration.

I'm not so sure it's their website. It may just be a forum they are trying to join.
