Dear All,

Are this a bug ? or am I setting general permission incorrectly, about hidden post count, readable while reply by member with lower post count?

Example : a post need 50 post to see it, but member with only 10 post can read it while reply to those topics.

please help.

You probably have a bit of crossover.

If a member is in two different groups, one based on post-count and the other not, they'll have permissions from both groups.

yongksid

Yes, I had two different groups. Regular group  and Post Count group.

Regular group can read hidden post count group. but post count group cannot read regular group board, They will receive message ERROR OCCURRED.

So, problem were between post count member.  while READ TOPIC lower post count, can't read higher hidden post, but in replying become can read it in reply page mode,  before  POSTING.

thanks in advance.

I'm afraid I can't follow what you're saying. :(

These two groups, you see... Due to the way these groups are set up, some of your members could be in both groups, at the same time.

If your "Regular" group is not based on post-counts, members of that group could be in the one that IS based on post-counts, as well.

Yeah, Regular group can read Post count group, but Post count group can't read regular group.
The problem lower post count group can read hidden bigger post count.

For more clarity, I attach the sample here.

thanks in advance.

K@: The user is saying that people can view hidden posts in Reply mode.

Yongksid: Are you using a custom mod for that?

I mean, as far as I know SMF does not have a "Hide posts" feature.
Did you install a package/modification for that?
You can check installed mods at Admin > Package Manager.

Yup. I install, HIDE POST mod, ver 1.1.
Does this was the cause. then how to fix, while still use this mod purpose.
Currently  to reduce possibility non eligible member post count to read, I set "Posts to show on topic summary" only 3 posts.

Oh, sorry yongskid, I totally forgot about this topic :-[

I'll try to see if I can do something now.

EDIT: The mod is outdated. You should contact the mod author with the request to update it and to fix this, I guess.
