Correct answers

I used anti bot when I had 1.12 and when I upgraded to 2.0.2 this weekend I liked the custom fields for user registrantion. I made it a requirement hoping it might cut down bots but it don't. They just don't answer correctly.  I guess I thought it might take the place of the areyouhuman mod.

But if the custom fields could require correct answers to complete registration it would kill bots!  I dream anyway. It would make it so we can ask custom questions per the custom user fields and if they are wrong registration is automatically denied.

For now I look and if the answer is wron I know they are a bot.

Thoughts?  I'm no coder but I'd pray this was easy.

Ex. My custom field is :What are you?
My drop down box answers are
I am a zombie (default)
I am a walrus
I am a modeler
I am a bot

My site is a modeling site. So the right answer is obvious. But a bot doesn't know it.

For now a lot of zombies are beating down my door.  But if their answer is wrong and it auto denied them my email box would be happier.

So maybe I should have read the "about this board" first. Doh!

Perhaps this would be better as a mod request?  But it would also be awesome for the next version of the boards. 2.1.

Have you any antispam mods installed?

The section you are looking for is the verification questions in the antispam area.

Admin >? Configuration > Security and Moderation > Anti Spam
