Hi.
I have this BIG problem...
http://www.internetfazoni.com/index.php?action=sitemap;xml
As you can see in the link

<url>
<loc/>
<lastmod>2012-05-15T14:55:00+02:00</lastmod>
<changefreq>hourly</changefreq>
<priority>0.8</priority>
</url>

There is no <loc><loc/> loc tag...
I reinstalled the mod, I replaced all sitemap files from original sitemap archive ....
Please help me, it is urgent!
I am using this mod http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=755
Mod owner is inactive, so long :(

MrPhil

Is this the old (755) mod or the new one (3393,  I think)? Any errors reported on installation? Have you asked in this mod's support topic?

The <loc> should be of the form <loc>http://www.mysite.com</loc>, so I don't know where <loc/> is coming from. Also, is there really a space in the <changefreq> tags?

No errors...
No errors in error log, no errors while installing, no errors while uninstalling...

NVM. It displayed in my browser as
Quote<changefreq>hourly</changefreq>
with what appeared to be a space between the f and r. Damned Microsoft fonts!
Let's try attaching a picture of it...

Yes, but I am running too on www.svetmagije.com
but here sitemap is OK....
www.svetmagije.com/index.php?action=sitemap;xml

Please help, as I said, this is urgent!

MrPhil

So, what's different between the two sites, in SMF version, PHP version, installed mods (versions?), configuration settings, etc.? There's got to be some difference that would explain why sitemap works in one and not the other!

List all the other mods you have installed

1.   Sitemap   2.2.0   (This sitemap is not working)
2.   SEO Sitemap   2.1.1   (This is new, working sitemap, bad alternative) :(
3.   nCode Image Resizer   1.3.1
4.   YouTube BBCode   2.6
5.   Topic Solved   1.1.1
6.   PNG Message Icons   1.3.1

Well running both at the same time won't help.

If it was me I'd forget about using a sitemap  :P  Presumably you want one to help your SEO, but I wouldn't be too obsessed by it, decent and relevant content still remains the biggest neccessity. Sure a site map will definately help but Google will find what it wants anyway if it exists.

Never used one myself and all my forums sit at number one or two in Google for their relevat search terms. However, I do have content.

QuoteNo one knows the solution...

Well unfortunately it's still an issue with a mod that's not been updated since 2010 which essentially is the real problem.

MrPhil

The first thing to do is disable and remove one of the sitemap mods. Then see if you still have a problem.

Of course it will not work :P
I installed second sitemap mode, new mod, when i posted this topic...
I never had another sitemap mod, just with this old which is not updated since 2010...
THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM!
I thought here, you SMF Guys, you know php, that things, that you are Professional...
I thought, that you know how sitemap works, and that you will find the problem with first reply...

MrPhil

Fix it yourself then, genius!

Quote1.   Sitemap   2.2.0   (This sitemap is not working)
2.   SEO Sitemap   2.1.1   (This is new, working sitemap, bad alternative)
You sure made it sound like you had both installed at the same time.

I'm outta here.

Can someone tell me where is the 755 in database ?

Do not heart me......

Don't get panic
use this robots.txt and uninstall the mod.

Allow: /recent
Crawl-delay: 5
Clean-param: PHPSESSID /index.php
Host: www.yourdomain.com

Google will crawl all the links
