Member Groups based on Karma?

I would like to base my membergroups on member's total karma, rather than postcount. However, I lack experience in working with the scripts and need some help.

While i'm at it, perhaps you could direct me to also grant a member the ability to set someone's karma (the person who posted the thread), when replying to a thread.
