Single thread/post - Multiple owners/editors (similar to a wiki?)

This isn't really a support request - more likely a question if there's a way to setup permissions or if there's already a mod that allows multiple users/owners/editors to a single thread? Something similar to how a wiki may function, perhaps with less over-sight. The whole idea is such that registered users in the forum can participate & share information in that thread - especially the first few posts of said thread.

Is there such an existing mod or can I do it by tweaking permissions?

you can give specific groups access to edit all posts in specific boards...

you can set the permissions by board, but not by post...

Thanks Kindred for sharing. Ok will look into setting up such groups & a specific board for the forum's co-operative efforts.
