Private Categories? - User submitted but only visible to admins

I dont want to assign membergroups to view the board...

I would like everyone to have access to the category but so only admins and the author of the thread can access their own thread and nobody elses.

As had alreayd been stated -- there are two ways to do this that are better than trying to force the forum into something that it was not intended to do.
