"Call to undefined function: create_button()" error

I created a locked, sticky, topic on my forum for the forum rules, but when I did it generated this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function create_buttons() in /home/rockba5/public_html/innatedebate.com/Sources/Load.php(2247) : eval()'d code on line 460

How can I fix this? I am running SMF 2.0.2. So I don't see how there could be a compatibility issue. Here is the link to the error:

Do you have Evaluation of Templates disabled?

Admin > Configuration > Server Settings > General.

If not then I would suggest you check the box to disable them.

By default, templates are evaluated instead of just included. This helps with showing more useful debug information in case a template contains an error.

On large forums however, this customised inclusion process may be significantly slower. Therefore, advanced users may wish to disable it.

Otherwise, the problem may have been caused by the recent installation of a Modification, I'm assuming this has not happened before?

Yes, I have checked that box to disable evaluation but the problem still persists. I have not had this problem before. Also, for some reason I cannot access the theme creator's forum. It says I am banned, but that doesn't make sense because I haven't posted there.

yes the problem will still be there but checking Evaluation of Templates will show the real error

all that tells us now is that there is an undefined function  with Evaluation of Templates disabled it will show the error comes from

You may not be but your IP might be, as it's most likely a dynamic one. Reboot your router and your ISP will give you a new IP dynamically so you could try the forum again.

Having said that, by referring to "the theme creator's forum" implies you're not using the default curve theme. Can you switch to that and then try creating a locked stickie (do it in your private Admin area if you have one) so you can check to see if the error occurs again. If it does, then it's not a Theme issue but most likely a Mod clash. If not, then again, try contacting the Theme creator.

Ok, so I reset my router and modem but that didn't work, as far as solving my "banned" issue on the Curve Steel creator's forum. Second, I switched to the default SMF theme and the error went away. However, I would like to continue using the Curve Steel theme b/c I have done a bunch of work on it and I like the colors etc. What is the best way to fix this problem? I'm assuming it must be an issue with the Curve Steel theme.

It does seem to be an issue with the custom theme, can you post any error you got in the forum logs in the admin section when you get this error on screen?

According to my list of Themes, the "Curve Steel" theme has not been Authorised for distribution here but there is a "Steel" theme which can be found here:

At the bottom of that description is a Comments button which points more on the theme here:

If this is the theme you are using and having problems with, it's best to contact the Theme author via that support topic.

Why would the forum be blocking me? If for some reason the site is being censored, that doesn't make sense because it wasn't censored when I downloaded the theme the first time.

Also, this Freegate app you posted slowed down my PC big time. It locked up Firefox and I had to restart. It also said I was blocked from using it because it's only for people in China. I don't get it.

It seems that Akyhne is a guy names Alex who is from Denmark. Does anyone know about this person? I was using his Curve Steel theme but now I am blocked from his site. Why would this be? Is there a way to contact him and ask?

Well if it's not banning you by IP, it'll be by username or e-mail address. You could try re-registering with new credentials. I've just registered there without any issues.

Just downloaded the "Steel" theme from Akyhne's website AND from the theme link I posted earlier, they are identical so you should be able to use the support topic I posted earlier to get help from Akyhne.

I know we've wandered way off topic now but could you post a screen shot of the "Banned" message you get when trying to use that site? It might just be that the ban is of the site by your ISP rather than the site blocking you.

Attach your index.template.php file here. It has probably been corrupted for some reason.

All usernames, IP's and email addresses are checked for being spammers on my site, via stopforumspammers.com's database. So one of those three things are probably on that list, if you can't get to my site.

Well, that index.template.php file is not from my theme, it's not even the file from the Default Curve theme.

What's the first digits in your IP address? It's probably your IP that is banned.

Hm, that's weird because I JUST backed up my site. I pulled that index file from the Themes/Curve_Steel_2  folder. Is this not where it would be located?

That is the folder. Download the Steel theme again, and upload the proper file.

I found your trigger to your ban and I've disabled the ban. Seems the name "Median" is used by many spammers.
