Upgrade from 1.1.14 to 1.1.16?

Those two are designed to be installed via Package Manager.

By rights, though, you should be able to go to your admin panel and see notices, for the upgrades, and do them there.

I tried to use the package manager and that's why I'm here, it didn't work.

Then, as I said earlier, try uploading them into "Packages", using FTP, then go to "Packages" and apply them.

My forum was the same and I had to rearchive them as zips, too. I also have to do the same with mods, if they're tar/gz files.

I've never known either of those updates to cause any errors. But, your luck might just be cr@p, today.

Ok, so I uploaded the patches in to packages, but they don't seem to show.  What's next?

Yeah. If you "Browse files", you should see them, there, with "Install Mod" beside them. (Or, is it "Apply"?)

Let me ask again, was I correct in uploading the 2 patches into Packages?  Or, should I delete them and do the install from my files, the same way you install the portal mod?

If you uploaded them, still archived, and they're appearing in "Packages>Browse files", go for it.

If they're not, try to install them as you would with any mod.

You MIGHT get an error saying "Package already exists", though, if you've already uploaded them. In which case, you'll have to delete them, using FTP, and try again.

Yeah, likely a mod installed on your site has affected the areas the patch is trying to affect. When this happened to me in the past, I could still apply it and then go through the files that failed and go through the parsing for the mod to see what the edits are supposed to be and look in the files to see what really failed (not everything will fail).

I do see a Gallery option but that looks like just a link to Coppermine. You could still proceed with applying it using the same steps below. Just remember to follow the rule of [email protected] first.

I made one update to 1.1.14 last year and didn't have a problem with the Coppermine link, so where do I go from here?  I would like to eventually get to 2.0.2 and then install SimplePortal.

Ah, then as much as I want to say get to 1.1.16, if your real end goal is 2.0.2, why not just go straight to that?

I thought 1.1.15 is needed first?  And you mean the full  1.1.16 upgrade?  I have the patch.
