What is 'collasped' in smf forum

Please friends happy allah holiday.
If i have an smf forum with catergories like job vacancies,business,entertainment,nigeria news etc and i want topics subject link in the various catergories or is it board? to be seen by all without having to click each of the catergories 1st.i mean:
job vacancies(plus description)
1.shell recruiting for 10 postions
2unilever want a general manager
3.etc. Blah blah.
I dnt want my guest to click job vacancie at all to get to the info .then after some job listing the next catergory follows with listed links topics,in that other.i dnt mean childboard. Then maybe the 4th catergory guest may have to click.
How do i get this done,what and what do i have to click in the default smf forum? I want this because i want to keep guest longer on my site.is that collasping?

It's not exactly clear what you are asking. "Collapsed" just means you can see the category header bars on the forum main page, but you cannot see the boards beneath the header bas.

Categories will only collapse if you do that yourself in your own browser. It should not affect what guests see. Guests should see all categories expanded by default.
