Group/Club registration.

I'm looking for a mod that allows my members to register there own group/club.

It'll probably be an idea to give people a bit of detail about what it is that you actually want.

i want a page that allows members who are already registered to register a club,the same layout and all that as the regular member registration,accept a need of email,password, etc. just a club username and a few other custom boxes yo fill out.

Groups: Family Living, Auto Repair, PC Repair,
Clubs : Fan Clubs, Gun Clubs,

Things like this. He will have to give US an idea on just what options he's looking for and any thing else that may be needed.

Ok, Wow, If it's possible. That I don't know. I been coding my 1st mod for about 2 weeks. So this is a question I can't answer.

The idea is to create new groups/clubs in the mod. and let users pick the group or club they want to join or create new ones.

Sorry, I don't know how to answer that. I would think it is possible, I'm not sure.

Oh, ok. I was thinking that it could be a problem. That their could be 100's of groups added. and I don't think that's a good idea. I mean just to keep track of them all. You would need moderators for every one. or even just to maintain a group or groups. If you get my idea.

That sounds better. Where Admin or users can create new groups or clubs. Then users can join them, Is this some thing your looking for.

i want any user in any membergroup to be able to create a group,members can join the group but the creator has to approve of it first .hopefuly someone can make this or find something like it

I could write this for you, but this would have to be a paid mod. This isn't a 5 minute job.

I can write you one all so. It would be about 2 to 3 weeks before I can complete it. It would be some thing that is simple and generic.

I was looking for a similar feature, they're usually called "guilds" or "clans".


It's a group that can be created by users that have access to it. Members can purchase the group and name it whatever they're interested in naming it, then other members can request to join the group and can be accepted or declined.

Users can change their 'rank' in the group if given rights to the admin panel in the specific group.

Usually you see this implemented with "forum gold". You purchase the group, purchase extra group slots to have access to a larger group base, and banners for advertising your group on a group page.

For implementation purposes, it could have the same layout as the registration page, and to maximise versatility, us e custom profile fields. Show only the fields that have been marked show_clan = 1. Then add a membergroup that people can join.

?, If that's what you want, That's all ready setup in SMF. You don't need a mod for that.
