What are the determining factors for this mod to find "similar" topics? Does it search titles, subject matter content? I started using it and it seems it kind of randomly picks anything and not necessarily similar at all.

I noticed you don't use an index to find the similar topics. Are you planning on adding that functionality in 2.1?

What's the indexing method used to find the similar topics? Does the mod build an index?

The problem described in my previous post is already solved :)
Yesterday my host was upgraded databases from 'MySQL 5.5' to 'MariaDB 10.3' and now I have installed successfully Similar Topics 0.9 on my SMF 2.1 RC2 forum.

Code: [Select]
syntax error, unexpected '@', expecting $end
Файл: /home/admin/web/site.ru/public_html/Sources/Class-SimTopics.php

Code: [Select]
Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.30-2+deb9u3 (2017-08-06) x86_64
Apache/2.4.25 (Debian) mod_fcgid/2.3.9 OpenSSL/1.0.2l
php/7.0

Code: [Select]

Using the latest version of the mod and SMF, but when typing on a new topic textbox there is no similar topics displayed even when I'm using the same names of other topics as well.  :-[

How can I solve this issue on opening a new topic?
