I have been testing the mod for the last two days and I've come across the following problem:
The similar topics shown at the bottom of the topics page is precise and correct, but the similar topics shown at the time of creating a new topic isn't precise. Sometimes even the results is completely irrelevant (Unfortunately, my forum is in Persian, so I can't provide you with some screen shots).
So, is there a way to apply the showing method of the similar topics of the first case to the second case, too?
I'm still awaiting any response to this issue :D
Thanks.

I am liking this mod... even though I only use half of it (the new topic part doesn't appear on my modified Curve theme)... but I would really love to move the Similar Topics block up above the Quick Reply.   Currently the only options are above the post or below the quick reply.  Is there any chance I could get some help moving this block to between the post and the quick reply?  Thank you.

Hey!
I really like this plugin, but since I'm using this editor does not work since then. (I guess because of the conflict jquery)

Is there any way to eliminate this error?
Prints to loading, but nothing happens...
Thank you!

Ask author of SCEditor mod about this problem.

I have both mods installed (SCEditor and Similar Topics) and there is no problem with it (editor was installed first, Similar Topics was added later).

I finally found the problem
the faulty plugin is not working because of the "nice tooltips"

Unfortunately, despite removed, I think only a complete re-install solves the problem

Now that is odd as I have both Nice Tooltips and this mod installed with no issue.

Great idea and congratulations for your work. My 2 cents would be to display relevant titles when user is typing in subject area (like live search) and not display them after user has clicked away from subject area. And of course, open the similar topics in new window, so that user will not have to start again a topic.

Another idea is to make both options graphically more compact so that they blend in with the site and have an option to display similar topics when typing on subject only (now as an option is the opposite, display only below post as similar topics and do not display on subject).

Thinks i found the answer to my own question. ;)

In SimTopics.template.php

Find and remove...

Code: [Select]
(', count($context['similar_topics']), ')
or is there more to it?

thanks,

Awesome thanks!

I tried a similar mod sometime back and I don't recall just why but it did not work like I had hoped.
I have been playing around with your mod on our site for a few hours today and it seems to work perfect.

Thank you,

Nice...

Would be interesting to know how you calculate similarity.

Trade secret :)

It seems to work very well how ever you do it.

Um, the mod's code will explain it... anyone who cares to examine the mod would be able to figure it out.
