"Go to full version" link - moved to the top for wap, wap2 and imode templates
Author: Iulian Virtejanu, http://hex.ro, 17 Nov 2012

Introduction

This mod modifies the default theme by moving the link to the top of the wireless template.

Google indexes all content of the forum, including the ?wap, ?wap2 and ?imod pages. Sometimes the users are presented these pages instead of the full version of the pages. There is no problem with this, but, as opposed to other forums, SMF's link "Go to full version" is at the bottom of the template instead of at the top where the user could see it easily when he browses from a Desktop browser.

However, there is no mobile detection involved - since mobiles now also can render HTML properly which usually offers a better experience for the user. It just fixes the inconvenience of having it at the bottom if the user lands on the mobile pages using a normal browser.

Installation

This mod modifies core files of the forum so please make a backup [including your sources] before installation. If you get errors such as 'Test failed' upon installation, please do not continue unless you are already familiarized with module manual install / uninstall, otherwise you might end up with the main page that does not load. I did my best to be rigorous, but depending on what other mods you have installed, etc..., it might or it might not work. You have been warned!

Usage

Once installed, you should access any WAP link on your forum and notice that the "Go to full version" link is at the top.
