Tryed to install Feedposter

SQL logic error or missing database
near "NOT": syntax error
File: /home/content/i/v/a/ivanb/html/forum/Packages/temp/FeedPostersql2.php
Line: 33

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 2.0.3, while your database is at version 2.0.2. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

And Now...............I got hundreds of hours setting this forum up.

All of the admin settings...

All of the variable message windows don't line up with check boxes

were the smf logo (on top above search) was I had text in that box and it all carriage return  vertically instead of a horizontal

What file would control this action?????????

Can I just ftp the original file to take care of this problem???

Fraid I don't have a clue what you are talking about. Was that a question ?

Could you please rephrase the question and give specific details about what your issue is.

kat

I think he's trying to install this:

http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=624

In which case, you need to post in the mod's support topic, ivansgarage.

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=141776.msg903834#msg903834

Might be worth deleting everything in that "temp" directory and trying again, though.

By the way... You DID backup, before you tried to install it...

Didn't you?

Assuming that you didn't backup, before installing the mod (Which is a bit daft, it has to be said), you might want to try this:

Went way back on the backups, still no change.
Guess its time for a upgrade.???
Any other ideas.

If i upgrade will it fix this database problem.

How did you revert to an older backup ?  Why I ask is that in order to answer the question "If i upgrade will it fix this database problem." it would be good to know exactly where you are at the moment and what you've done.

I assume you've got mods installed as well, also whats all those ads down the side of your forum ? Difficult to see from the pics but they see to overlap the main forum at times ?

Are you using an older version of Internet Explorer? If you are using IE7, or perhaps IE8 in compatability mode, you'll probably get the misalignment shown in your shots.

ivansgarage

no  Ie9  and goog crome  the first pic with the test test test
is not a misalignment...

ivansgarage

I thought i would try the upgrade.   FAILED
did i loose my forum??

ivansgarage

You're upgrading from 2.0.3 to 2.0.3?

Typo, perhaps?

ivansgarage

That is correct  2.0.3  to 2.0.3 so i can upgrade the database was at 2.0.2

I used ftp and overwrite all files.

Arantor

Then you're at 2.0.3 and you should ignore the error message because it's wrong.

kat

Arantor

Yup, it's a bug because the upgraders never fix it. To update it, they just have to go into the database, to smf_settings, and find the entry smfVersion, and update the version number there.

ivansgarage

Arantor

I recommend you stop doing what you think you need to do because there's no upgrading required at all.
