U-tube video links

I have seen on other forums that when a u-tube link is in a post it is converted into a small viewer. can that be done here as a defalut so that when a member puts a u-tube link in a post it is converted into a view format?

To convert YouTube links to embedded video, there are a couple of choices, there's the Aeva Lite mod (the little brother of the full Aeva Media mod which includes a gallery as well) or there's the SAVE mod as linked above.

Easy way to do it. Is find the modification on the modsite.
Then find the download link. This will save the file to your computer.

In your forum then go to admin -> Package Manager then click on the "Download Packages" tab.
And there should be a browse area to select the modification package from your computer.
Once uploaded just follow the steps on the screen to install.

I downloaded, uploaded installed, under modification packages it finds it, but the videos are not in a view on the form. I did try adding a new one?

Settings are 0 for height (Use 0 to use media player defaults ) 0 for Width, and I checked all for players

Ok, I missed the buttons acros the top when I looked in posts and topics. Automatically linked posted URLs is checked. I had been looking for Censored Words, knewn I had seen it and now have fould it again.

This is the way i do it, although it does require to have Flash enabled.

Select a video
Copy web address

Example
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAQe5R0FaxU

In your message,
Add flash tags,
And insert the address between them.

Replace the    /watch?v=    with  /v/ 

So you have
[flash=420,315)http://www.youtube.com/v/JAQe5R0FaxU[/flash]

Job done !

Then I just take the link youtube gives you for sharing, copy and paste it into your post.

Hmm ok haven't seen that format before issue is due to the &feature=youtube.be in the url take that out and it should embed.

That would be nice. I see that formate all the time as our members copy it from the address bar too.
