Hello,

I can't enter in the admin area the "Package Manager" page (exactly: "Browse Packages"). Thanks my browser history I can enter "Download Packages", "Installed Packages", "File Permissions" and "Options".

If I click on "Package Manager" the site is white.

How can I fix the problem?

Best regards

Any errors in your error log? Any mods installed?

There are only error logs from today. But the problem is days ago. I updated today from version 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 and I can't see any installed mods (I had a lot).

Is it possible to uninstall the mods manually?

Hold on, you're getting ahead of yourself, that proberly won't be necessary.

well, are there any that are related to the package manager page(s)/action(s)?

Had you recently installed a new mod?

I have just attempted to upgrade to 2.04 and this has happened to me. Tried several methods of upgrading, but always sticking at file permissions although they seem correct by ftp.

Now stuck at 2.03, although no installed packages listed, they seem to be working still.

How did you go about doing that? You SHOULD do it via Package Manager.

valis1952

Further: I get this when attempting to upgrade via Package Manager:

"You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory or one of the files in it are not writable!"

When I view "Installed Packages" there is nothing in the list.

Valis... Can you start your own topic, please?

Otherwise, this is gonna get really confusing, coz nobody will know who's replying to whom.

Thanks.

No problem! :)

You weren't to know, until somebody told you, after all. :)

No, there aren't package relateted actions.

I installed the most (last time) on January 14th 2013.

The question was about what you said in your second post.

You said "I updated today from version 2.0.3 to 2.0.4".

The question was "How did you do that?"

Ok, sorry I misunderstood you. I did it via "Softaculous".

Ahhhh... That could be the problem, I'm afraid.

I don't suppose you backed-up, first, did you?

Restoring that backup would, probably, be an extremely good plan.

If you don't have a backup, you might be lucky, if you ask your host if they have one.

Yes I backed up! Never again I do the same mistake likei n 2011.

How do I restore the backup?

If you did the backup via Softaculous then probably best to restore it the same way.

The example below relates to a Wordpress backup but gives you the idea....

Thank you!

I solved the problem in another way. I deleted all packages from cPanel. Now I can enter the Package Manager. Because of the update no packages were installed, so I can find out which one caused the problem.
