Integration with Shibboleth for single-sign on

I did a quick search but didn't come up with any conclusive results.

I was wondering if there was any project that already has integrated single-sign on via Shibboleth specifically for SMF.

I hadn't even heard of it until now, and even when I put in 'Shibboleth' into a search engine, it's not even the first result for the protocol/system in question...

Yeah, it hasn't been done, and I doubt anyone will pick it up any time soon.

It looks like a few years ago user Kosli might have done this for Shibboleth using a bridge that might no longer be available?
