Second, yes, it is his business because modifications that are dangerous have been posted as attachments in the past - so unless they are posted in the proper place (Mod Development) or for approval by the team, it should not be here.

Considering that he is a team member and it could appear to other people that you're trying to become a team member or that you are a team member, even, yes he is totally right to do so.

Change it to 'SMF Mod Developer', should be OK. But 'SMF Developer' implies you are something that you are not: a developer of SMF itself.
