[unknown]: tried it again and this time it did give an error:

2: packageinstall(D:\xampp\XAMPP\htdocs\smf11rc/Packages/temp/./vWarnDB.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory
File: D:\xampp\XAMPP\htdocs\smf11rc\Sources\Packages.php
Line: 534

the files are in
D:\xampp\XAMPP\htdocs\Packages/temp/
this seems to be connected to be cause by the other problem I posted about, about the "local path to smf" var not being parsed correctly for the ftp access :(

I just must congratulate you on this. I have tested it and I LOVE it! Too bad I cannot upgrade. I am using the shop mod and I can't upgrade because that mod is not compatible with SMF 1.1

Template Parse Error!
It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

You can also try refreshing this page.

Re-upload the template files; one of them hasn't been fully/correctly uploaded.

You're welcome :)

1) Nope, 1.1 is fully PHP 4.4.0 compliant.
2) I would imagine the mod will be updated for 1.1 RC1 if it hasn't already.

I have install a new test- forum 1.0.5  and afterwards update to 1.1, RC1. Everything work perfectly, only one error appears..... in the topic YABB SE Theme give the "Search.template.php" a error.

Where can I find "Search.template.php 1.1, RC1"? That does not stand in smf-1-1-rc1_update and not in smf-1-1-rc_install

Who help can me?

Thanks.

It isn't in the Classic YaBB Theme. ;) You should delete that file from your theme directory, so that SMF will pick the default theme's search template. :)

Just upgraded and its too early to judge it yet.

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade from 1.0.5 to 1.1 RC1 in english and I got the following message :

Quote
Updating Settings.php... Successful.
Creating new tables and inserting default data...
    Creating "themes"... done.
    Creating "collapsed_categories"... done.
    Creating and verifying "permissions"... Unsuccessful!

This query:
ALTER TABLE yabbse_permissions
ADD addDeny tinyint(4) NOT NULL default '1';
Caused the error:
Nom du champ 'addDeny' déjà utilisé

Last sentence which only means "Field's name 'adddeny' already exists" is in french becaus my db is in french.
Actually that's true, this field exist !
Does anyone got an idea.
My forum was a long time ago under yabsse then SMF 1.0.1 then 1.0.2,1.0.3,1.0.4  and at the moment 1.0.5

Thank you so much for your kinf support.

I installed SMF 1.1 on my test forum and I'm having problems getting the icons to show up.  All I see are underlined links.  I went through the options and couldn't find it.  This happened immediately after install.

It seems like there might be a small inconsistency regarding the setup of the "news" and "key stats" boxes compared to the "user info" box in the default index.template.php.

newsbox.gif and keystats.gif are positioned 1px lower than userinfo.gif. If you find the following codes (in index.template.php) and change -16 to -17, it should be corrected though.

<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/', $context['user']['language'], '/newsbox.gif" style="position: absolute; left: -1px; top: -16px;" alt="" />

and

<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/', $context['user']['language'], '/keystats.gif" style="position: absolute; left: -1px; top: -16px;" alt="" />

EDIT: added "default" to avoid any confusion :)

Have you tried this:

Admin > Current Theme > Show buttons as images instead of text

I can't find this difference? In the release all three are set to -16px, and the actual height of all the 3  buttons are 18px. And it doesn't look misaligned either.
