On my anotheradminforum.com forum, some members are able to modify their signature (like me) but others members cannot. They change it in their profile, save the changes but the old signature remains and there are no errors or updated changes.

SMF version: 2.0.4

I do not believe I have a modification preventing this from happening.

Any ideas?

Hmm, that is odd. Is there any difference in members who can change it and not? A varied post count, or something?

So far, one staff member and one charter member has had issues with in from what I can tell. I don't think the post count has anything to do with it, but if it did, would you think its relates to something? I will try anything haha.

Maybe, it is their browser? I know IE10 has some bugs with websites

Not sure. I suppose I could test it with different browsers. IE has a 10 now? Shows ya how much I use IE lol

I switched to Chrome, maybe make a poll on your forum, and see how many use IE10, chrome, FF, etc, and ask if they are experiencing problems based on browser

It is probably going to end up being one of those never ending issues on AAF :(

Found the issue in case anyone runs into this.

WYSIWYG is buggy and doesn't work properly, disable it and it fixed it.

I thought I already had disabled it long ago but apparently I did not.

NekoJonez

I have this problem now too. So it's the editor that is causing the problem?

Even when two members have the exact same browser and version?

The best way to find out is to disable the WYSIWYG editor and see if it fixes the problem. :)

NekoJonez

Yeah it does.

It was so odd, since I had people with exact the same browser version and one got it working and the other couldn't.

I was a big headache. But instead of trying to fix it, I decided to remove the mod.

Mod? WYSIWYG is a default smf feature isn't it?

Arantor

WYSIWYG is, but not for signatures by default. In fact, the default signature editor has no formatting buttons or anything as you're expected to type straight bbcode into it.

Oh okay I see, I see. I should of thought about that one.
