Hello all,

I'm trying to modify the classic skin of SMF a bit, and wanted to add a new button with appropriate permissions. I don't want everyone to see it, so i want to add a new entry to the $context array, i was wondering how this would work since i wasn't able to find where it adds those entry's (example: allow_search). Also, i want to add a new page to which my button links, should i keep specific things in mind when doing this, is there a route i should follow.

Thank you, and you Dev's sure made a nice forum.

    Hi,
I read this and found the area mentioned but couldn't make heads or tails of what I needed to do.  I would like to add a chat button to my board which is for posting rescue dogs (love the board by the way!!).

Can some please explain how I would add the button on the index page with the link to the chatroom in a little more detail.  Thanks in advance.

This what I refer to every so often when editing templates with extra menu buttons
