Error when registering

Hi every time any one attempt to register they get an error as occurred .

Any Ideas ?

It does not say an error code !!  .. Just that above..

Weird, something got screwed up. Did you install a mod recently?

If you register, as I just did, you go through the whole rigmarole and, when you get to the very last part, it just says, as reported, "An Error Has Occurred!". The box, below, where you'd expect a further message, is empty.

Yes but with it just affecting that hard to tell when it was as ive added a few

You can tell what order they were installed in, by looking at them using FTP, or the order they appear in Package Manager.

Knowing that, you could do this, in reverse order, I s'pose.

It just looks like the latest one to affect Register.template.php (at first glance anyway).

I have deleted and reinstalled a back up but problem is still there .. How can i install a fresh copy cos its doing my head in now

Download the large upgrade package for 2.0.4. Overwrite all of files (you won't need upgrade.php). And don't touch Settings.php (which I don't think is part of that package anyway). That will essentially wipe out the installed mods, but they will still be visible in Package Manager with an Install Mod link for each one.

How about the KeyCAPTCHA for SMF modification, did you install that modification recently?

Im not sure but i was thinking it may be the birthday on registration or the one you say but still when deleted no difference . Sorted now with fresh install
